Your Work Through Time

Welcome to Your Work Through Time: a place for you to share the photos and documents that you’ve created, collected, stumbled across or carefully preserved for years. While we’ve been looking high and low for photos, stories, maps, letters and ledgers about the history of work over time in Cape Breton, we know that there is much that remains to be discovered. We hope that you will use this space to contribute to this collection and consequently enhance our collective understanding of Cape Breton’s work history.

We also hope that this space will provide students and teachers with an opportunity to share the assignments, papers, projects and presentations that they create about work and the working lives of Cape Bretoners.

We are able to accept files ending in .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .ppt (Microsoft Word, Open Office, Pages, iWorks, Microsoft Excel and Power Point). We can accept image and photo files ending in .jpg or .jpeg. Most images that end in .png or .eps can be easily converted to .jpeg or .jpg.

Browse and upload your documents and images below. Don’t forget to include your full name and as much information as possible about the items you are contributing so that we can in turn share this with others. It generally takes a few days for comments to appear so check back soon.
